Hybrids get knocked on their higher prices. Of course, if you’re running a Canadian Green Business, there’s the added marketing value of driving a hybrid. For plain old consumers, though, the math doesn’t really add up. You’re paying for something more than just the car when you buy a hybrid. The Globe and Mail Implements Environmental Paper Procurement Policy
Like most people, I rarely buy newspapers but I do make a point of getting the Globe and Mail on the weekend. There’s actually time to sit down and read and enjoy the paper. But while this might be a nice gesture, doesn’t online delivery kill absolutely zero trees? Yes, there’s the electrical cost but not trees would be killed if newspapers simply gave up on the print edition. Not going to happen soon, I know but with things like the Kindle in the market, I can see it happening eventually.
